Well, just to say I can recognize the feeling. I lost my wallet with my drivers License just before our Caribbean cruise years ago. I didn't have a current passport. The travel agent said to just bring some ID of some kind and it would not be a problem. I just forgot one issue. I was born in Canada (US mother). The entire ship boarded and our family was standing at the counter. My wife was really upset. They called the State Department and said they had to go up three levels (whatever that means), but finally got approval. The cruise people all cheered and gave us a free bottle of champaign. I guess the big problem was that the cruise card they give you lets you go into the foreign countries (islands) like a passport.
