Let's crunch the numbers
A 12 oz. can of Budweiser is 145 calories with 10.6 g carbs, 1.3 g protein, 0 g sugar, 13.9 g alcohol

A 12 oz. can of coke is 140 calories, 39 g carbs, 0 g protein, 39 g sugar, 0 g alcohol, and 25-50 mg caffeine

If I had to drink one daily for the rest of my life, the beer would likely be the better choice in terms of being less dangerous

But this is just with calories and general health information. Soda is really, really awful for you. If you have never laid out 40 g of sugar in front of you to see what you are drinking with a regular soda, you should do it sometime. That is 10 tsp of sugar in one soda!

This doesn't take into account cancer risk. We know 1 drink of alcohol a day increases mouth/throat cancer risk by 20% and you develop fatty liver. That's reversible, but usage can lead to cirrhosis and liver failure. But I'm pretty sure that needs to be more than one drink a day.
