Rhino's (black and white) get an obvious pass. Elephants are another story, and some countries have too many. And if there is one animal you DON'T want too many of, it's elephant. Nothing can destroy an ecosystem like too many pachyderms - they eat the fruit, leaves, branches and bark off all vegetation and can ruin any cash crop.
"Regulated" is the key. Just like in the U.S., excess population can and should be reduced by hunting. While at-risk populations should be off limits until stability returns.
