O Gaucho All-American
My wife stayed home with the kids until the youngest was in about 3rd grade.
I will forever be grateful we were able to do that. She taught them well and got them off to a great start before they started school. No amount of money would have made up for that.

She had a teaching license and got a half time contract teaching job when our youngest was in 3rd grade. She left with the kids in the morning and was still able to be there for the kids when they got home from school. She enjoys it and feels she is making a difference in the world. It was the perfect fit for us.

The extra money has definitely been nice. When she went back to work part time we made the agreement that we would never get into a situation where we would have to rely on her money if at all possible. We've been able to do that with no problem. Her money has paid for the extra nice things, helped the kids here and there with college expenses, helped with missions, and paid for some vacations.

So I guess I'm saying I am grateful for how blessed our lives have been. Not having to rely on her money has made all the difference in her feelings about work. When it is a "want to" rather than a "have to" it changes everything.
