with your child. I have gone back to this many times. Fantastic.
Also, "Wild Things: The art of Nurturing boys." Really enlightening and would say that it finds a crucial element in that boys don't need to have their wildness crushed out of them. I have seen so much of what this book teaches to be true with my son.
I applaude you for reading up on parenting btw. My wife and I have often been surprised by how many people never use any of the vast resources out there. Very few of our friends and family ever read anything on the subject. Not that I think we have parenting down or are doing so much better than others by any means but each child is so different that the more tools you have in your arsenal the better off you are. It seems crazy that we study up on our profession, certifications, processes etc and few of us ever study how to raise our kids. Wild considering humanity has been doing the job of parenting from the beginning of time. Good luck!
