I care very little one way or the other about the word. It's a silly thing on a sports message board. I only use yewt as a nebulous term that's permissible under board rules (i.e. go yewt yourself Medute. Could mean lots of things or nothing. It's kinda handy).
Referring to Utes as yewts--maybe it is or isn't a bit juvenile; perhaps it's supposed to be. Either way, it's harmless and silly and hardly worth getting one's knickers in a bunch over; I fail to see how it's substantially different than something like zoobs.
Taking others' usage of terms like these as a way of asserting one's own, superior maturity? That's laughable.
