I hope so, although every single college athlete says the exact same things
in every interview, so Williams saying "I just want to help the team win" isn't particularly insightful in any way.
Either way, it seems bad from a strategy standpoint. Why not use your best RB on the most important running plays of the game? Especially runs up the middle in short yardage situations, which clearly suit Williams more than Ghanwoloku.
