coaches view it as important to confuse the quarterback or hit the quarterback or make the quarterback be uncomfortable. I'm certainly not advocating that we blitz on every play but being so predictable on defense and letting the quarterback survey the field play after play and complete 90% of his passes is not a strategy that I'm in favor of. It's probably fine against bad quarterbacks But as Washington has proved to last 2 years it's not a good strategy against a well coached team or a team that has a good quarterback.
