Cause Toledo who makes significantly less than we do at this time, just beat us and dang near beat us at home a few years ago. So clearly who cares about money... it obviously doesn't matter much unless you are making P5 money which we are not and not even remotely close to it. So let's put that one to bed.

Second... G5 conference championships do matter when a NY6 game is for the taking. This can't be said enough... getting to a NY6 bowl matters... it matters nationally and it matters to the players and fans. We literally have zero shot at a NY6 game as an Independent... the NY6 is contractually obligated to fill it's spots with P5's and the highest ranked G5 team.... period. So a G6 championship does matter... it matters a lot. On the grand stage... it matters little when compared to P5 championships... but it matters a whole heck of a lot more than anything we do as a program as an Independent. We get zero out of what we accomplish. If we had only lost to Utah this year and won the rest... we are getting the same reward if we go 6-6.

On a scale, you weight a G5 conference championship against a P5... P5 will win... you weigh out our season against a G5 conference championship... G5 will win.

I really don't care about our media rights either... personally if we suck I'd rather it not be on TV.

As a whole... if you polled players today... they'd tell you they'd rather play for a G5 conference championship than play Independence... I guarantee it.
