This video auto-played after the highlight video I was watching. He felt like the U wasn't a good fit for him and wanted to come to BYU, but KWhitt wouldn't give him a release. So he had to get an associate's degree at SLCC in order to be able to come to BYU. Married and with a young kid, he had to work and pay for his own schooling.
I think it's absolutely absurd when coaches refuse to help college kids do what's best for them and their situation. But also props to him for making big sacrifices to come to BYU.
