I have also enjoyed it at different phases of my kids' lives, but would find it very monotonous if I visited every year or every other year. I've found it better for me to try new places. I even asked my kids recently what they liked better. They also prefer different locations rather than one spot. So Disneyland/World is a once every 7-10 years for us to not ruin the excitement of it.
