the NCAA tournament is what I care about and the conference tourneys are kind of an unnecessary filler before the real event. Ok, so my attitude probably dates all the way back to the original days of the WAC tournament and BYU's complete futility in it. Ladell Andersen was a pretty good coach in general, but his team's complete inability to show up with any semblance of a pulse at the conference tournament year after year after year after year was beyond frustrating. Coach Rose still takes heat for not being able to win a tournament championship, but his teams could at least make it to the championship game half the time. Andersen's teams couldn't even freaking get out of the FIRST ROUND.

Also, I always cheer against the bid stealers. The 10th place team in the Big Ten doesn't belong in the Big Dance.
