Foreign aid is a small drop in the bucket compared to the $2 trillion stimulus
package. Total economic aid was $35 billion in 2017, and has been cut since then; including military aid it was almost $50 billion. So around 2.5% of this fiscal stimulus bill.

“Most Americans overestimate foreign aid as a share of the total federal budget. In the past, less than 1% of the national budget went to foreign assistance. As of fiscal year 2017, foreign aid...totaled $49.87.1 billion, or about 1.2% of total spending.

“Total military assistance: $14.77 billion.

“Total economic assistance: $35.10 billion, of which USAID Implemented: $20.55 billion”
