You've always had wealthy folks living in the Avenues (SLC) and Holladay and scattered throughout Cottonwood Heights< Millcreek, Sandy along the East Bench. But Draper (East Draper) was the first SLC suburb seemingly created from the ground up for high income folks (based on new housing costs). So naturally it attracted the new young rich. 30 years ago those other areas had neighborhoods but 30 years ago East Draper was farmland. It went from farms to huge homes over night in the 90s.
