NASA wants to build a giant radio telescope on the far side of the moon inside a 3 mile wide crater. Cool.

Joking aside, it IS pretty cool.

yes, but it can get up to 260* F on the moon. That's NOT cool.

Yes, but it's a vacuum so heat transferance is real low... No humidity

Just like AZ.. it's a "dry" heat

Doesn't that make the problem worse?

"Far side" would be more accurate. It's not always dark.

"there's no dark side of the moon really....

I guess that would make it worse for electronics... In the sunlight

I haven't done electronics for space but wouldn't you have other problems?

coils, fans, vents? all solar powered?
CoachSpeak

Coils? Fans? Vents? No air. Nothing to conduct the heat. Right?

There is still gravity.

Gravity conducts heat?

I think empty space conducts heat. Based on the sci fi movies I've seen, if I jump out of my spaceship into empty space

With gravity you could build an atmosphere...

And if the band you're in starts playin' different tunes...

Probably sends to a satellite and then relays to esrth

Perhaps it’ll get out of the planning stage by 2035?

We won’t make it that far. Not with the current destruction.

That is really cool. What would such a thing allow us to observe? Does anyone know of articles describing

We'll be able to hear the UFOs lock their doors as they fly past earth.
