With one kid that wasn’t one of the leaders, it was very social and fun to see most of the team go by at each viewpoint and run around with other excited parents. But we usually missed the winner finishing.

When your kid is one of the leaders, in contrast, you miss a lot of that and just run around the course by yourself to just watch a couple of kids out front, apart from the start and the finish of course. And you really have to book it around the course too.
