Getting each state, conference and university to align won’t happen. That being said I would hope universities would find a way to get some type of season. It would be disastrous to many athletic programs to have no football income and expenses.
Worst case have teams play every other week and rearrange around teams who lose their seasons. Even if it moved to teams that played play 8’ish games and took weeks off to test and quarantine after games (ridiculous to me) they could still get some tv revenue. This is better than nothing.
I can also tell you ND has BYU on its radar. ND plays USC the same day we play Stanford. If both games go away ND and BYU have open weeks. This is not the same as a big ND/SC game but it is tv content and if other games go away the game will get more eyeballs on it. We need to get creative and hopefully schools get pragmatic.
I am hoping big time schools with money on the line play and less relevant teams can make their own decisions.
