Maybe. It will be hard for the cancelers to eat their crow, but they could make the case that keeping their players close and tested and cared for is better than otherwise; that they've thought long and hard about it and polled their teams and their desires and are willing to take the risk, recognizing that the risk is likely lower than just scattering their team to the wind.
