We travel with the team to their away games with the exceptions of the following that we no longer travel too: rice chex, usu, wyo, csu, and ucf. Reasons for another post
My choices:
1) UA in Las Vegas - (new stadium), probably 1st time for us to see the new stadium. Unlimited activities in and out of town (Boulder City)
2) GA Southern - first time stadium for us. If you take your children - go to Stone Mountain outside of Atlanta. Should be a fun atmosphere
3) USC - not the best part of town. Campus is known for its concrete. Coliseum is legendary. Trojan band performances before the game and halftime are awesome (and I don’t care for bands) However, your seats will be located in the next county with the track that surrounds the field and slope of the stands. Also, try to sit in the middle of BYU’s designated seats. I have seen fights break out between drunk USC fans and opponent fans
4)Baylor - Waco isn’t the best place but fun atmosphere at the game
5) Washington St - close to Spokane and Coeur d’Alene. Stadium is just a hole in the ground with benches. They have renovated to be nicer
6) usu - taken this place off of our travel to locations... to many examples of bad experiences not only towards us but many BYU fans, including a ticket office worker for usu. she and her family are BYU fans. While she was putting her family items on their seats inside the stadium she asked those around to please watch their items while she did her job. With her kids pleading for help and asking to have a group stop throwing their blankets and coats into the garbage can on the field level, nobody raised a finger. The group commented they need to remind their mom, who she works for... keep in mind, not only is the garbage can filthy but is probably at least six feet below the stand level. They got their items back. One additional note: our nephew was on usu’s tennis team (#1 or #2) at the time. While walking with us from his apartment to the cow pasture, usu fans kept throwing objects at us. Mostly cookies and hot dogs. I believe only our grandson was hit once. Just showed why usu doesn’t have a baseball team...
