n and are not familiar with the program's history and consistency (and many apparently are not), and you're from a different part of the country then what exactly do you associate with BYU football? Even terrible programs benefit from association with their conferences (Iowa State, Arizona teams, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, etc.).
