He said he wasn't going to be a lifer like Lavell and said he'd coach 10 yrs at BYU (he went 11). He knew when it was his time to go, got a great offer to coach at UVa and took it. He gave us some good years. I'm happy he knew when to leave and didn't overstay any longer than he did. Turned into a good situation for him and for us. Happy he's got a good spot that fits him well. Timing was good for us and we found a good coach to replace.
Kalani's trajectory is up and up. He laid a great foundation and coached us into position to get a p5 conference invite. We're 10-12 vs p5 competition and 14-1 in our last 2 seasons.
