He's just not the same player he was and the play calling appeared to be reflective of that against Boise and Wazzu. Based on "reliable" sources that were at the game and could see the whole field, we didn't have (m)any play calls that sent guys deep; most plays were designed for short to intermediate passing.
If they are limiting the play book b/c of Jaren, if he's choosing not to run, and if he's not reading the read option right, how is he a better solution for THIS YEAR than Romney? Now, maybe long-term/ceiling, he's higher than Baylor and that's what they're playing for. As coaches, they can't come out and say that even if it is true, so CB is just gonna have to survive without all the info and have never-ending and meaningless debates like we do about the defense.
