reason I went with the HP Envy was because from a cost to features ration I couldn't beat it at the time.

I don’t know if it’s the best but we bought a Dell Vostro for my wife. I’d never heard of it before but it has 16gb RAM

Microsoft Surface is a good option for some. If I didn't have a Surface I'd probably go with the Dell XPS
