If he is in pain, your dentist should have an emergency after hours contact

number to call. You can try to find a dentist that is in on Friday, but it's already late in the day. He may need to take Tylenol and Ibuprofen until he can get in Monday, or pay an after hours fee to bring the dentist and an assistant in to help him.

Depends on where you live. My dentist in Orem is open on Fridays so I know some dentists are still open on Friday.
