Agreed. Anyone who is not a team-specific hire needs to be objective and
neutral if they want to have any credibility if they are covering an entire market with multiple teams. That changes when the home-team network hires you.
I'm not a Utah fan, but if they were paying me to be their news and PR guy, I'd do my best job at it.
