Why would it be? Mark Pope was last the head coach at UVU, don't forget.

He didn't bring us anyone that mattered from that program, and he had no Utah recruiting chops, because he's not from here and a couple years at UVU isn't enough to create a pipeline. Was Pope a downgrade from Cleveland? Absolutely not. Why would our next coach be a downgrade from Pope?

Look, I love the guy. I wish he'd stayed forever. But he's just a coach, and there are a LOT of coaches out there. BYU doesn't have to beg. And we won't.
