The takes I gave there where intentionally a bit disconnected from reality. There's some truth to the idea that BYU benefitted from the PAC's collective 2021 COVID hangover. And there's some truth that Kalani (or any coach) needs to get their guys in that fit their scheme.
Someone making a bad-faith argument could take either of those positions to unreasonable extremes. Doesn't make it right, but an argument could be made
