Obviously include a substantial buyout clause for the coach himself (which reportedly already exists).
And include what amounts to a non compete clause where the coach’s buyout escalates by $800k(?) for every player/signee who follows the coach to his new school within six years of him leaving.
People wonder why contracts are so long. Every provision exists because at some point a party to an agreement got screwed and needed to protect themselves from it happening again. With the transfer portal being a complete mess, this language should be standard throughout the industry pretty soon.
