My property is accessed by an easement road. The easement road passes my neighbors property. Neither of us own the easement, as it is owned by another property owner.
My neighbor has been difficult to deal with.
I very kindly told him to remove his gate. He refused. I told him what he was doing was illegal as he was obstructing access to my property. He fought me verbally and I kept my cool and acted calm while he was belligerent.
We agreed to an electronic gate.
6 months later, he removed the gate.
Now he has put speed trenches in the easement.
I asked him kindly and he was belligerent again.
I will need to talk with him face to face. If he doesn’t fix the problem, is my next step a land use lawyer or is there a cheaper way? Sheriff? County? Etc?
