Apparently, it's a huge turn off. Hiring managers want you to be excited about the job, not the money, and if you are asking about the money from the get-go, then they think you're not really excited about the job.
I wonder if this is also applying to NIL.
I wonder if when coaches call these guys in the portal, like Dallin Hall, and they ask him why he's in the portal and considering moving on from BYU, a school he got a ton of minutes with in the best basketball conference, if he flat out tells them, "I want more money."
I wonder how similar/different these interviews/negotiations really are to the rest of us.
