Except Montreal has been at the bottom of the league for a while now
I feel like the Cowboys are an apt comparison **for the Leafs**, good once a long time ago and now they’re just good enough to always make the playoffs but can’t ever make a deep run. Also similar in terms of fan support and being hated by the rest of the league

Montreal is more of the Yankees, Lakers or Cowboys. Toronto is more like the Red Sox who went 87 years between titles

Montreal is more popular. Boston and Chicago are above both though. Toronto has slightly more value as a franchise.
