Kevin Young and development for NBA, temper your expectations
Obviously lots of talk about how great KY will be at developing players for the NBA. I think many of you may end up sorely disappointed with unrealistic expectations. I'm sure there are coaches that can probably develop players a bit better than other coaches, but I think that's a pretty marginal difference. What gets players into the NBA is their athleticism, their natural skillset, and their own work ethic, then maybe college coaching somewhere down the list. At the point they reach college, they've been coached for YEARS and had abundant resources just given today's age of internet, information, connections, etc.

KY may get more players into the NBA, but if he does so it will largely be because he gets better recruits here to begin with. If you think he's going to take the typical, historical BYU recruit and get significantly more into the NBA, you'll be sorely disappointed. That's just not realistic and not how life works.

Yes, I know those of you that believe in magic and hocus pocus won't agree and won't like my post. But my point is still correct.
