knew who he was from the time he was in middle school.

He didn't handle it great but eventually matured. Proved himself to be
one of the best players of his generation. Overcame some tough injuries
including taking a 90+ MPH fastball off the face. Has come through in the
biggest moments. Without doubt one of the best postseason hitters in
history.

Almost guaranteed HOFer at this point in his career.

He is a great example in growing up and becoming a better person
I think that would be hard given all the fame and money he had
showered on him while young. Major props IMO.
