folks and they pick up the tab, she tips ridiculously. We're talking 25-35%. I keep telling her that her grandkids would love her more if she gave them the money (just kidding, but it's kind of a sore spot in the family that she just gives so much, while there are family members that struggle so much). She tips anyone and everyone that does any service toward her.

I honestly don't understand where it's coming from. We struggled greatly growing up because my original father (deceased now some 30+ years) was a gambler and alcoholic. I guess she must have wanted to tip back in those days (we only went out to eat about 4 times a year) and now is making up for it.
