Assume that someone followed the recommendations and only put in 93 octane gas for the 6.2 and that both engines are offered at the same price.
EPA has both versions rated at about the same fuel economy numbers, but I'd like to know whether there is a material difference once you account for the DEF etc in the duramax.
Assume mostly city driving 12,000 miles/year.
