I'm curious about people's approach to movie content and ratings
Obviously, some people don't care at all and they just go watch what they think will be interesting.

Others have blanket rules so evaluating content also isn't important to them. For instance, not seeing any R rated movies or being okay with any PG rated movie.

Others are mindful of content (sex, violence, profanity) but not rigid in following MPAA ratings, and so they will check a content or rating service before they decide to watch some or all movies.

I'm wondering about those people that are mindful of content but interested in getting the details and deciding for themselves rather than relying only on the MPAA rating.

For those people, which scenario plays out more often? Deciding to see a Rated R movie after evaluating the content, or deciding not to see a lesser rated movie after evaluating the content.
