I was given the option of taking the East coast holiday schedule or the Utah holiday schedule.
The schedules are the same except the East coast gets 4 company holidays for Christmas for a total of 12 company holidays whereas Utah gets 1 company holiday for Christmas plus Pioneer Day for a total of 10 company holidays.
Everyone else in our office is forced to take the Utah schedule because they work for the Utah based subsidiary. However, I work for corporate so I was given the option. The HR manager here summed it up as, "unless you're really into celebrating a lame Mormon holiday, I assume you want to take the corporate holiday schedule."
