but would just make a critical point here & there. Then week by week he got progressively worse...& worse. I didn't follow him all that much after his first few months so I don't know at what point he lost the upbeat persona entirely--but the last I checked in (last season) the upbeat was definitely gone.
I think he's showing now what was really in him all along--without the thick coat of fluff.
Dude is obviously bitter about how things went down. But since he's still outa the coaching atmosphere--I think it shows that deep down he always identified himself as an icon & fixture of BYU more than as a FB coach. Really, that's not the kinda guy we want on our staff. We want guys who are doing the craft that they love most in life. Whether at BYU or elsewhere, they are football coaches.
