print media news guy. So much is already "known" via internet sources that legacy media guys aren't really sources anymore, but in the position of adding extra confirmation or corroboration. In some cases, the sources they do have don't like to go to them either because they get nothing out of it other than another headache.
It's to the point where we don't need PK and DJ to hazard a guess because we all have the same or more sources than they do. The only thing of value they would add on this at this point is an actual confirmation. But, the awkward bit is that their source of information would stop immediately if they went that far. So, they can't win. Meanwhile, people keep pouring gas on this log fire - watch it burn, watch it burn! - and PK is hearing that there is an 85% chance that there is extra warmth somewhere over there, maybe in that direction while he sits and watches the fire get stoked.
Hopefully that makes sense, but probably not.
