When I was a kid my Mom had a lot of specialty food that she got for herself that us kids were not allowed to eat. We kids would often sneak into that food mostly because it was off limits to us...I stayed home from school one day and ate a good amount of her cottage cheese one spoon full at a time because each time I convinced myself that it didn't look like anyone had eaten any so I could take another spoon full a few minutes later...(container was about 1/3 gone with my antics...definitely noticeable)
At any rate later in the day I was caught for having eaten her cottage cheese but not because of how much was missing from the container, it was because the reason I stayed home came to fruition and I threw up everything. Interesting (yet gross) fact: cottage cheese looks EXACTLY the same going down as it does coming up...
Because of this fact/experience I did not eat cottage cheese by itself for decades and still as someone with adult children of my own rarely have ever eaten cottage cheese by itself...
