I spotted some carpenter ants this last week. I don't love the quarterly treatment packages that the pest control people rope you into, but I think I'll need a few treatments over the next few months.

Any suggestions or experiences worth passing along? I'm not going to do it myself (since that is generally the most common answer). I already obviously failed on that front. But I'd also appreciate someone willing to do 2-3 treatments to solve the problem without making me sign a $1000 contract that spans multiple years.

Sandy/Cttnwood Heights recommendations would be helpful.
