Celtics still have plenty of room to offer a max contract, though. Tyler Zeller's $8M contract is non-guaranteed. If they waived him that would give them $35M in cap space. They would have to renounce bird rights for Amir Johnson, Jonas Jerebko, and Kelly Olynyk as well, but if they felt adding Hayward would benefit them over keeping those 4 players then they could easily do it.
