CFP rankings are built on hype, they have to build hype
Yes, UCF went undefeated and didn't get a shot, but they also were slow to be ranked in the first place, played few teams taht were actually good, and didn't have a marquee victory until they beat Auburn.
If UCF goes undefeated this next season, they'll be in the playoff discussion, and could make it
