I recall the 1970 season with the Raiders. Every week my dad and I
would follow the Raider games. For 5 or 6 games in a row that season, Daryl Lamonica was replaced as QB in the final minute or two and Blanda would lead the team to victory. Absolutely awesome season. The guy was about 45 or 46 at the time! In fact, another owner commented that Blanda was as good a QB as his dad was at Houston Oilers. That Houston QB was Blanda himself! Hilarious.
