It's the concept and principle behind it that's the issue. It actually makes it
worse that they won't let him make $80 off it (or whatever). The NCAA model isn't sustainable. It worked back when boosters were giving jobs to recruits, or promising jobs after leaving school, or paying kids outright (which still happens BTW and the NCAA doesn't know). But if we're seriously saying a kid can't make money off of his YouTube channel...that's absurd...
