He's the tallest/strongest guy on his team and has always played lineman.
Admittedly, it's one of the drawbacks of playing at a tiny private school (about 35 kids in each graduating class). They need their biggest kids on the line and there's not a surplus of big bodies to fill those spots.

They've always needed him to help dominate the LOS at every level he's played. He was the starting DE his freshman year due to his size, motor, quickness, and on-field results.

I feel he's more sized for OLB too, but he loves playing DE and we haven't pushed the issue. Plus, his position coach at this school was a 10 year NFL Defensive End, College All-American at Bama, John Copeland. Hard to pull him away from that coaching experience...
