I have a buddy that does that with cards. He carries a deck with him at all times and when he meets someone for the first time he tells them to think of a specific card. Then he pulls one at random out of the deck and says “is this your card”? He figures at some point he will actually pull out the card they were thinking of and it will be the best magic trick ever.
