This story always felt melodramatic to me. The guy went to Vegas and had some drinks, just like hundreds of millions of
people do every single day. Is it against our faith? Of course. But is it such a grievous sin that his night of drinking qualifies as a “redemption story”? Not even close.
This is so strange that it’s being talked about, it’s even more strange that an author thinks it’s deserving to be written about.
