I was surprised to see that Mitchell is actually hitting a higher percentage of his shots at the rim this year (0-3 ft); I would've guessed he was less successful finishing those plays just based on watching the games. And he's also shooting a higher percentage between 16 ft and the 3pt line (though he takes a tiny percentage of his total shots from that range). He's had a significant drop off in shooting percentage from 3-10 ft, 10-16 ft, and behind the 3pt line. This year he has all of the defense's attention, and is still having to overcome the lack of spacing that is available when Snyder insists on putting Rubio/Favs/Rudy out there together. The problem is the spacing doesn't get any better if you sub Exum in for Rubio. Utah needs more minutes without Rudy and Favors together, and/or with Mitchell playing point and Burks in there at the 2.
I wonder if something is still not right with his legs. He's made just 4 out of his last 23 three point attempts, with two missed games mixed in during that stretch.
