Nice job... observations from courtside

Nice job, Cougars!

My son and I had upper bowl tickets. A Vivint guy came up with about 20 before tip and gave about 30 of us courtside seats across from the BYU bench. Definitely an experience for my son and I.

While Child is a beast, I was impressed with Selijas today. He seemed to be the one communicating (since we could hear) with the perimiter players and felt the need to take it to the hole. Utah is obviously a major step behind in all-things postplay. We knew at halftime that BYU would come out pressing the tempo, and Utah had no answer. I don't know what Utah is trying to do on offense. Topalovic and Johnson have no clue. It's Tillman or bust for Utah.

Great atmopshere. Great handshake and hug between 80K and Emery. Utah needs to start playing more in-state games and stop acting like every game is going to damage their NCAA resume. The reality is Utah is nowhere near an NIT birth. Other teams in the PAC-12 play their local teams; I'm not sure what Larry's deal is. If you are worried about losing, then you shouldn't be in the NCAAs at all!

Had some BYU fans to my left, right and behind me. We had a ball. If you're watching a replay. Me, my son and FIL are the three red shirts across the BYU bench. My son is wearing number 17.

Final note- TJ came and stood right in front of us before the 2nd half inbounds play. I said "TJ... take the ball to the hole and get to the FT line." I looked at me, smiled and said "you think?" I said "yes, I've never seen a combo guard shoot as many FTs as you". He really needed to get into the game offensively and definitely did.

Good luck!
